When it comes to U.S. energy prices, everything seems to be affected by demand. For instance, if there is a higher demand for oil, then the gas prices go up. Oddly enough the economic climate should have lowered the standard cost, but due to the demand in other countries, it’s a lot higher then we would expect.
In between the late seventies up to 2004, the oil consumption rose by 28.6%. This year’s increase in China was 25.8%. The demand in South Korea skyrocketed over this time by 344%. It’s hard to believe that before the turn of the 21st century, the cost for a barrel of oil was $12. Today it has risen to around $70.
You should also understand that the price which revolves around crude oil influences other fuel costs. You will find that electricity, gasoline and petroleum are the big three. It’s crazy to think that even though we’re going through a stressful time, prices are expected to rise when we reach 2010. This is because we’ll be well above our 1.25 million barrels we use each day right now.
The good news is we can expect it to drop again around the fourth quarter of 2009. Unfortunately, when the prices do go back up, we can easily expect a 40c per gallon increase in between those times. While this may true on the gas side of the things, the electricity prices are supposed to decline by 2% thanks to cheaper fossil fuel prices.

It is no secret that green collar jobs are the wave of the future. There is a significant interest in these jobs and despite the fact that there have been many green jobs around for decades, this is now considered a new job listing. There are plenty of employers looking for the right fresh blood while there are plenty of newbies looking to find that green collar job connection.
Start by knowing your options. While there may very well be a sudden rush to hire individuals qualified to run environmentally sound projects, you need to know whether you’re in the running. There are also more options than most people realize and many are not new green collar jobs. Research, forestry, and conservationism are far from new jobs. Each requires its own level of education and preparedness.
Environmental law, education, and environmental engineering jobs are opening up their markets for qualified candidates in a hurry. With a desperate need to take some drastic action right now, these jobs are going to continue to open up over time.
Take the time to find out what each company that is currently hiring in your field of interest will demand for prerequisite education or experience. Many hopefuls are trying to slip in through the back door without even checking the current state of the requirements. This simply overloads the administration with an onslaught of pointless applications. Landing green collar jobs takes more than an interest in the field or the condition of the planet.

We need to look toward alternative energy jobs to help ensure that there is a much brighter tomorrow than we have right now. Our energy needs have turned the planet into a suffering and polluted environment masked by our own civilized progress. In order to address the mass problems brought on by pollution we are putting a lot of faith in the potential that renewable energy jobs present.
Even with our alternative energy job plan that has been on the table for many years, the cost to the planet when it comes to transportation and manufacturing plants is unacceptably high. In order to start developing hope of a healthy planet, the alternative energy job market must become a priority. Without that, there’s not a lot that is fixing the problems.
Of all the alternative energy jobs it is truly exciting to see that wind turbine builders and wind energy engineers have come together to introduce the first great plan along the country’s offshore coast. This could be the start of everything.
If we could drop our needs for perpetual energy, or replace our energy sources, the gains would be more than merely lower energy bills but a lower ecological price. We need this type of action in order to start moving from our current energy practices into clean energy practices.
There has been enough critical damage delivered to the planet and the result has been sad and dangerous to say the least. If we want to stop spinning in a hamster wheel trying to address it and avoid it at the same time, renewable energy jobs are the best plan. With a focus on creating a stronger and better planet, we can achieve so much more.
