They fail to see the big picture. Prices have been steadily increasing for the last several years, due to the ever-increasing demand and the continuing shortage of energy resources.

Well, think about this: Fifty percent of the world’s oil has been depleted. If the present rate of consumption continues, our oil will be gone in 32 years. What if it didn’t just continue at the same rate, but actually increased? And it’s likely to do so. So, even the present generation will face a serious energy crisis in the later years, let alone future generations.

Are we prepared to handle the coming energy crisis? What can we do to tackle it? For starters, we need to understand the importance of energy in our lives and stop taking it for granted. We have to minimize our consumption of oil, gas, electricity, and any other fuel. We cannot afford to waste our precious resources. It is also important to broaden awareness about the limited availability of energy resources. Simple actions like joining (or starting!) a carpool, shutting off your car at stop lights, and generally reducing the use of gas and oil in everyday activities can all help with the energy crisis.
